Born and raised on a small fifth generation farm in Essex, Archie Browning (b.1990) has been taught by his mother and sculptor Lucy Lutyens.

His work is intuitively intertwined with the land he has been working on since a child and has been described as ‘earthy and prehistoric’. The strong connection with previous custodians; life and death, seasons and rebirth are all key themes in his work and his life on the farm.

Archie has spent extensive periods learning his craft abroad from traditional artisans in India, Italy, Mexico and the UK.
